If you liked LANGE
when he rocked the Studio dance floor in July, then you'll very pleased to know
that he's returning to Auckland!
LANGE had such a good time here, he wants to come back... and he's bringing
fellow DJ / producer, Gareth Emery,
with him! This pair will combine on Saturday
September 10th to show case M2's
second massive birthday event at
Galatos.
LANGE is universally
recognised as one of the scene's strongest
and most-consistent producers.
He has rapidly achieved similar status in his DJ guise, charting at
No.51 in the recent "DJ MAG POLL 2003" leading them to
predict "Big things are tipped for UK don LANGE,
described as the next trance DJ to go supernova."
As well as playing some of the UK's biggest clubs (including
GODSKITCHEN, GATECRASHER,
PASSION,
GALLERY, WILDCHILD,
and SLINKY), LANGE regularly
tours internationally and last performed in NZ
at M2 - LANGE on
July 29 (see
photos here).
LANGE is famous for tracks like 'Drifting Away',
'Sincere', 'You
Take My Breath Away' & 'Kilimanjaro'...
and of course, who could forget his remixes
of Agnelli & Nelson's 'Every Time, Every Day',
or Lost Witness' 'Red Sun Rising'
& 'Happiness Happening'.

Gareth Emery (aka GTR) is
recognised the world over as one of dance music’s most
established young artists. Since being tipped by Mixmag
in 2002, the 24 year old has become a regular feature at infamous clubs like
GODSKITCHEN,
SLINKY, GALLERY
and PASSION and played all
over the globe. The remainder of his time is divided between
producing genre-defining club tracks under his various
guises and running Five AM,
one of the UK’s coolest trance record labels.
Gareth first impacted on the global dance scene in 2002 with a succession of
underground club hits, most notably, GTR - 'Mistral'.
A classically trained musician,
his passion for studio work remains prolific to this day with
his tracks a mainstay in the sets of the biggest DJs in the world.
However, it’s when he’s behind the decks
that the sound of Gareth Emery comes alive. His style is
truly individual: a sublime blend of twisted beats and
unrelenting groove that fuses trance
with progressive,
tribal and techno elements.
Coupled with flawless technical ability
and an emphasis on exclusive material
and personal edits, his DJ
sets are truly individual experiences that continue to set him apart from his
peers.
